Flax Seed Oil is an excellent vegetarian source of essential fatty acids (EFAs). Fatty acids are termed "essential" as the body cannot make them and they must be taken in the diet.
Flax Seed Oil provides nature's richest source of the omega-3 EFA alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). ALA is converted in the body into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
Omega-3 EFA's have been well researched and have been shown to support cardiovascular health, brain function, joint and skin health.
Flax Seed Oil also contains linoleic acid, an omega-6 EFA as well as omega-9. The soft gel capsules are carob coated to protect the oil from exposure to light.
