DHA comprises 40-50% of brain tissue and 60% of eye tissue. DHA is the major polyunsaturated fatty acid in the adult brain, and it is essential for healthy neurodevelopment.

DHA assists in the transmission of signals between brain cells. Maintaining optimal DHA levels helps to maintain mental and cognitive function.
