Received my order the next day, so very pleased. Thanks again also for the promotional emails, the alert to the clearance Sale, very helpful on this occasion.
This is an interesting article written by Meissa Meyer who takes a look at food quality and why supplements can benefit us
Do we really need to take supplement? Isn’t eating healthy and living healthy enough?
There used to be a time when we could live without taking supplements. Foods were created using natural sources and harvested to support small communities of people. Unfortunately, since our population has grown and the demand for foods has increased, profit margins have become the sole focus, rather than the quality of what these foods contain. This means, cutting corners and using the methods to increase productivity and profit margins.
Vegetables are grown in soils which only contain the minerals they need to grow, nitrogen and potassium. Because these soils don’t contain everything the vegetables need to sustain themselves, they often get sick or become diseased. Farmers then resort to pesticides and chemicals to protect their crops. Meat products unfortunately suffer similar short cuts, including injecting animals with hormones to induce higher meat volume, feeding animals with cheaper fodder and reducing the space animals have to live on.
Even the foods created for us are prepared using methods which focus on profit margins alone and hold very little nutritional benefit for the body. White bread is a prime example of this. White bread contains no nutritional benefit to the body. When delving further into other common food products found in our supermarkets, we discover that there are plenty more similar products which contain very little benefit to our bodies. Many of these products actually cause more harm by being eaten than are beneficial.
So, what do we do about it?
The reality is, we can become informed about what we eat and what the ingredients are, within these popular food choices. There are some common knowledge ground rules. If something is bright white or any other extreme colour, it is probably loaded with ingredients we don’t want to incorporate into our diet.
The other things we can do, is start to grow our own vegetables and fruit, or buy organic produce. Organic produce considers the environment and is grown to protect the plants from pesticides as they don’t use them. This means the vegetables contain more nutrients.
Top up what we are not getting. As much as we can work towards eating more organic foods and reducing the negative foods from our diet, you can see that much of the damage has already been done. We are also not guaranteed to get everything we need to turn the situation around, if we have already become sick from a poor diet.
The only way to move forward is therefore to use supplements which contain the necessary ingredients to supply the body with what it needs to facilitate the healing process. There are many fantastic supplements on www.mynaturalhealth.co.nz so it is hard to choose which ones to focus on. I would personally recommend focusing on all round natural healing supplements which also contain high nutritional benefit. These would include Maca Root, Bee Pollen, Aloe Vera and Spirulina are just a few supplements which will give the body fantastic sources of healing and additional nutrients.
I have used many of these super foods for my own healing and have managed to turn my bodies pain and aches around. Everything you add into your mouth on a daily basis, either takes away or adds to your healing. You can decide each day, which one that is going to be.
