We have recently discovered an amazing NZ made product which may be the ‘Gold Standard’ in natural Sun Screen! …it’s called “MY SUNSHINE”.
My Sunshine has been developed in New Zealand by Kiwi Mum Sarah Studd. As Kiwis we are bought up with a love of everything outdoors; swimming, sailing, at the beach & we are exposed to the suns harsh rays pretty much every day. We live and breathe ‘slip slop slap’ during the summer months, ‘sunscreening’ ourselves as well as our children to protect them from the burning rays. However due to a health issue, Sarah became conscious of what she was putting into and onto her body. After some extensive research, she decided to develop her own totally natural sunscreen which is
100% free from any nasty chemicals for use on the whole family.
Her mission became a reality as she trialled & developed her best natural sunscreen ever, which would protect – SPF30, nourish, and provide 2 hours water resistance. It had to be suitable for the most sensitive skins, be completely natural, be 100% free from ALL nasty chemicals, and it had to be safe. Safe not only for the whole family, but also safe for the environment & the oceans. It had to be easy to apply, have the highest quality ingredients, and yet not make you look like a ghost either!
My Sunshine is all of those things. We’re also pleased to report that when we tried it, it was silky smooth, it soaked in & did not leave a sticky or oily film on top of your skin.
It contains only natural & organic ingredients, including raspberry seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, green tea, & a natural filter from cinnamon leaves. All the ingredients are natural or organic, & many are antioxidant & anti-aging ingredients ideal for use on your face as well as body.
My Sunshine complies with one of the highest standards in the world - Australian/New Zealand sunscreen standard 2604:2012. It contains no nasty chemicals, it is only tested on humans & is made with loads of love here in NZ.
My Sunshine is definitely one we will be using this summer!
